Meet Jose

“I am a dancer who came to the United States from Mexico City when I was 10 years old. I thought it would be impossible to attend college, due to the cost. What brought me to TCC was the help I received, affordable tuition and support from the faculty. My next step is to attend a four-year university, become a professional dancer and give back to the community.” — Jose Hernandez, TCC Dance Student

Meet Sara

“I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 10+ years. I’m going to school for my children and myself, to give us all a better future. Of course I was scared - how was I going to get the money to go to college? I chose to come to TCC because it was affordable and the programs are amazing. You can do it, too. As a mom, you can continue on with your career!” — Sara Ferris, TCC Culinary Student

Meet Brandon

“In high school I thought I was going to be a famous basketball player, but ended up going into the military. My grandma actually passed away in a fire right before I was getting ready to exit the Army. I knew then the career I wanted to do – to be a firefighter. As a single father I didn’t think I had enough time to put into school. People kept telling me about this great program at TCC. The FireAcademy has been awesome; everyone on the Northwest Campus is amazing. I just became a member of PTK honor society – I never thought I could do that. If you’re thinking about going to school, TCC is a great school with great programs.” — Brandon Brown, TCC Fire Academy Student
